2018 Roussanne, Stolpman Vineyard

BALLARD CANYON AVA | SANTA BARBARA COUNTY
The 2018 Roussanne shows aromatics of jasmine, pear and melon. Richly textured on the palate, flavors include honeysuckle, white peach and lemon curd. Finishes long, clean, with a flinty minerality. This full-bodied white is balanced with integrated acidity. Our Roussanne has a history of aging gracefully and should develop more honey and nutty characteristics over time.

The 2018 Roussanne Stolpman is less aromatic (which is common for this variety) yet offers beautiful richness and depth, with honeyed stone fruits and spice, medium to full body, beautiful balance, and a great finish. It's another winner. Maturity unavailable. — Jeb Dunnuck

The 2017 Roussanne Stolpman Vineyard is a gorgeous, textured white. Lemon confit, white flowers and mint all open up in a creamy, expansive Roussanne that is loaded with nuance. The shift towards giving this wine a bit more time in oak really works well. Drinking window 2019-2023. — Antonio Galloni.
2016 Roussanne, Stolpman Vineyard
A strong shade of yellow in the glass, this bottling shows aromas of whipped cream, preserved lemon peels and a hint of smoked white meat, all honed in by a citrusy sharpness. The palate proves fresh, bright and tense, making the mouth water with a hint of sea salt along with creamy cherimoya and a touch more smoke.
