2015 Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara County
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY
The 2015 Pinot Noir is the first to be bottled under the Jaffurs label. Showing spice and blood orange aromatics, core flavors of red fruit are supported by black tea and cinnamon. Vibrant acidity, and partial stem inclusion provide structure throughout, leading to a long and grippy finish. This wine is drinking beautifully now, but should also age gracefully for years to come.
The 2015 Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County comes from the Duvarita Vineyard in Santa Barbara County and spent 18 months in 33% new French oak. This classic beauty gives up terrific notes of red and black cherries, leafy herbs, forest floor, and bay leaf to go with a medium-bodied, elegant, balanced style on the palate. It has good acidity, fine tannin, tons of character, and is well worth drinking. Drink 2018-2024.
